Solar Plexus Chakra Basics
This image was made with the intention to help your Solar Plexus Chakra, located above the navel over your solar plexus up to the breastbone. So imagine the color yellow over this area extending through your body to your back. It could be yellow light, a yellow flower or lotus, this yellow image, or whatever you come up with, just get the yellow color there.
Solar plexus or third chakra (Manipura) has everything to do with the perception of who you are, your personal power, being confident, responsible, reliable, your self-esteem, the power of transformation, inertia into action and movement, and thus the affirmation, "I do." Imbalances here show up as metabolism and digestion difficulties, emotional outbursts, feeling stressed out, being passive and inactive, having low self-esteem, difficulty making decisions, and having anger or control issues.
It is important to realize that the use of color and breath meditation are not the only ways to activate and balance your chakras. Activities that involve your senses or using things in your environment can also help, especially when used with your INTENTION to open and balance your chakras. Try wearing a yellow shirt or blouse, burning a yellow candle (this chakra is associated with the element of fire), wearing yellow earrings, carrying golden tigereye. Investigate other solar plexus chakra activities, specific yoga poses, or chants (RAM). Your intention is key here, as it is with so many other things. Intend to balance your chakras, specifically here, burn that yellow candle for instance, with the intention of balancing or activating your Solar Plexus Chakra, and it will be so.
More of the chakras coming up in future posts!
